Chegou o fim duma era. O Xbox Live Gold, que lançou em 2002 na Xbox, é a subscrição que os jogadores têm de activar para poderem jogar online. Em Setembro deste ano, este serviço será substituído pelo Xbox Game Pass Core. Esta notícia chega para confirmar os rumores, depois de ter deixado de ser possível comprar subscrição de 12 meses desde 2020, antes da geração actual sequer ter lançado.
No fundo, não passa duma renomeação e um pequeno refrescar do que significa ter a subscrição mais baixa na Xbox. O Xbox Live Gold passa a chamar-se Xbox Game Pass Core a partir de 14 de Setembro de 2023, sendo uma evolução que além de dar o mesmo acesso online aos jogadores, oferece ainda uma colecção de mais de 25 jogos por cerca de $9.99 USD por mês ou $59.99 USD por ano. Os Games with Gold também verão o seu fim.
Portanto, o que muda exactamente?
- A 14 de Setembro, os membros Xbox Live Gold tornar-se-ão automaticamente membros Game Pass Core, SEM MUDANÇAS NO PREÇO, tendo acesso imediato a mais de 25 jogos de alta qualidade;
- Os descontos habituais de membro (actualmente conhecidos como Deals with Gold e outros) também farão parte desta subscrição;
- Os Games with Gold terminarão a 1 de Setembro;
- Os jogadores continuarão a ter acesso aos jogos Xbox One que foram resgatados com os Games with Gold, desde que tenham uma subscrição Game Pass Core ou Xbox Game Pass Ultimate;
- Os jogos da Xbox 360 que foram resgatados da mesma forma, como antes, já fazem parte da biblioteca de jogos sem necessitar de subscrição para aceder.
Sem os Games with Gold, a Xbox tem outra oferta para os membros do Xbox Game Pass Core. Uma biblioteca de mais de 25 jogos, que irá crescer com novos títulos a serem adicionados entre 2 a 3 vezes por ano.
