Como era esperado, “The Expanse: A Telltale Series” teve uma primeira mostra de gameplay durante o evento de abertura da Gamescom 2022.
O jogo, baseado na popular série de ficção científica da Amazon Prime Video, está agendado para o verão de 2023. “The Expanse: A Telltale Series” promete acompanhar os eventos que decorrem antes da série, como forma de expandir este universo.
A ação decorre com Camina Drummer, uma das principais personagens da série da Amazon, no papel da protagonista. A trabalhar na nave Artemis, cabe ao jogador tomar importantes decisões e, assim, influenciar o rumo da narrativa. É verdade: este título vai seguir a linha do adorado Life is Strange, com a Deck Nine optar por introduzir uma trama feita pelas escolhas de quem está a jogar. Porém, recorde-se que o jogo está a ser co-produzido com a reformulada Telltale Games (também responsável por “The Wolf Among Us 2”.
Ambientado cerca de 200 anos no futuro, o jogo conta a história de Camina, uma detetive enviada a locais remotos do sistema solar. Tudo isto para pôr fim à maior conspiração já existente, que inclui sequestros, desaparecimentos e traições. Seguindo a linha da série, o jogo possuirá muitos elementos de suspense e drama.

Os jogadores enfrentam grandes desafios como, por exemplo, lidar com uma mistura de personalidades poderosas, através dos diálogos, e enfrentar um motim sangrento. Mas não é só: a gravidade será uma parte crucial da mecânica do jogo. A personagem terá de usar botas magnéticas para andar nas paredes e utilizar propulsores para flutuar no vazio.
